Im so nerves and do not know what to expect especially being so fresh to the industry. Ive read some reviews on two companies that chose me SRT nd Celadon and will admit it made my decision easier lol! So what can i expect going in2 orientation, do they follow thru on their promises, is there potential growth in the company? Is the raises tru and vacation as promised? How often will i b able to get HOME? Jist need sum insight i fly out fri for orientation on Mon....
I have a few drivers who worked for them, they liked the company, they left because of personal reasons (just moving on) and not any issues with the company.
orientation at celadon will be about 4 or 5 days long, you will be staying at their barrack room (very clean). during the orientation, they will take people to do their road test (very easy, dont feel nervous). and yes, all their promises and bonuses will be paid automatically, there is no need to worry. good luck. and they will put you with a local trainer for two weeks so you would go back to your room afterward everyday and put you with an otr trainer for another two weeks
@eriktran84 thnk u for the insight trust me its a stress reliever knowing what im walking n2 I feel more comfortable with my decision nd i knw evry cmpny hve their share of pros nd cons but i wanna strt sumwhr i can feel safe knwn they will deliver on their nd i can perform @ my highest potential on my end
i believe it is 450 a week for orientation but forgot how much when you are training with a trainer. we are a team and we average about 6000+ miles a week. they will have the miles for you if you push hard
I vote Celadon , why? Well because you won't have to deal with learning how to pull a reefer too. It can be a headache by it self.
