I just got my clp on the 1-26-22 and I don't know what to do next I live in Yonkers NY and it is so hard to find someone to train me. I have air brakes ,combination, double/ triple,school bus , passenger and tank so I have a lot of options but I want an class A license with Class B privileges can anyone help with the next step please and thank you

I forgot which community colleges are around there but check if any of them offer a CDL program. In state residents probably only pay like $1200 for the course, and since it’s a college course you can get a pell grant to cover it. Other option is to google local Cdl schools in the area but most of those are going to be like $5000, but you finish in 4 weeks. There may be grants from NYS that’ll pay for the training. Personally I don’t think you should do training through an employer. There’s a catch to it. You have to work for them or repay them much more than the other options I mentioned.
