Loooooong time lurker here. There is so much great info on these forums. I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to give honest and thoughtful feedback!

Looks like I'll be headed to Little Rock soon. I don't have an assignment yet but I expect it to be soon. I'm a recent grad with a new CDL with all the endorsements.

I'm really excited to be part of a good crew. You all seem to be top notch!

I know I have a lot to learn and I'll be keeping my ears open.

Cheers! I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Maverick is a decent place to get your feet wet.

I always tell guys to get the endorsements.........it allows for more opportunity.

    Good luck.

Welcome from me as well! Just don't walk on the grass at the terminal and you'll be fine :)

They spend a lot of money on the landscaping there, but I honestly think its kind of a little test. They tell students that, just to see if they follow it or not. It seems like a simple rule, and it wouldn't seem like a big deal to break it... But they have sent people home for it. I think they're looking to see if you're going to have a good attitude and do what is asked, even if it seems silly, or if you're going to be one of those types that fights against them every chance they get, in which case they don't want you.

If you had a better homes and gardens professionally landscaped Lawn, would you want a bunch of drivers trapsing all over it? With grease, oil, whatever on the bottom of the boots to kill every blade of grass their sole touches? Also in the colder weather, walking on frost covered grass will create perfect brown footprints after the frost is gone. (why you cant golf with frost on the course at decent courses). Its an easy rule to follow. Like being on time for class and doing your homework. If you can't follow the rules during your 2 week job interview, what are you going to do when you get your own truck. Pun intended Not walking on the grass is a good way to "weed out" those who don't want to follow the rules. lol
