Anyone been leased to them. They were hot and heavy about me getting down there to Dallas. I told them I needed to give 1 weeks notice here and I could be down on the 28th for orientation. I'm trying to get everything lined out and contract signed so I have Bobtail and Physical damage before I go down but they refuse to let me sign a contract until orientation. I've never experienced this before with any company. My other truck is going to M. Bruenger right now and they emailed me a contract the first day and asked me when I wanted insurance to start.

Anybody been with them on the Intermodal side............just trying to hear the ups and downs. I've talked to Roadrunner Intermodal as well and my app is approved there but Comtrak has runs closer to home and pays a little better.

    Thanks,

    Hutchies

I think things vary from terminal to terminal. My advice is to be sure and go over your settlements regularly as they make mistakes.

So far I'm happy. First week I ran little over 2,000 miles and my check was $1100+$500 of my sign on. This week I had over 3,000 miles and I'm running on quallcom. First week was home Monday, tuesday, and thurs nights. This week I was home tues and thurs. I don't have to sit and wait for loads as long as I notify that I'm ready to go and they have at least 30min notice. Normally I know days in advance of what I'm doing. I've heard horror stories about intermodal but I don't do much local. I do the 200 to 600 mile out runs and have only had a couple trailers that werent that great. Most were fairly new chasis and boxes. I was also told how heavy the intermodal is. My average load weight is 10,000 lbs. Heaviest I've had is 34K.

Are you home on weekends and what is their trailer tire policy? I've heard some companies expect you to replace them

Depends on the terminal you are out of and how you run if you run down and deadhead back you wont be happy i stay out couple days and tell them to keep my deadhead minimal and i dont care where i go. Like right now I am did 550 mile loaded at $1.15 plus fuel. Then 180 miles at .88 plus fuel to pivkup another 500 plus mile run loaded. If you run it right and watch your fuel costs and dont have to be hoke every night you can run $1700 to $2500 a week checks. I had one week that was $2900. Those numbers are bring home

It 100% depends on your terminal
