    Can I run my cpap on a regular inverter or should I run it on a pure sine inverter

    Have you checked the info. on the maker's website? I don't know the answer, but I'd like to know as well since I have one and will need it OTR. I was just planning on getting a 12v converter and plugging it into the cab's outlet. Let me know if I'm totally off base.

    company you go with will install the inverter for you. you"ll just have to get the enverter.

    12v power cord works well. Contact the maker of your machine.

    it will run on either but in my opinion go with pure sine. then if you dont idle then you will get straight power without flucuation in juice. Stay away from those cheap ones sold at truck stops for use with cpap.

    You can also get a 12v power cord for your machine, they work well.

    I second this. Many of the machines will run on AC or DC power. You will not run the batteries down as fast if you can plug the machine directly into the 12V plug. The inverter uses power converting it.

    The CPAP unit that I have will only run on 110 volts.
    Please read my original post as to the question that I had asked!!!!

    you failed to mention in the original post that your machine was a 110 volt machine only. complete information always helps when asking for others opinions.

    Turtle posted in Expediters Online that a pure sine inverter is needed for a CPAP machine. If I remember correctly it has to do with ruining the humidifier. Their site is set up the same as this one. Go there and search CPAP.
