I would Try Roehl they seem to have good starting driver packages. I would never ever ever work for less than .50, preferably closer to .60 and above is what I look for, but I have 13 years + experience with nothing bad on my rec, but the companies I talk to seem to think experience over their insurance requirements is not worth a whole lot.
Swift has a sliding scale, but I have never seen them advertising the short run rates. I also do not think Swift starts at .40, more like .35. The last time I checked I was at .49 on the low end. On loads that are under 100 miles it is .61 plus $25 short haul pay. It increments in 100 mile steps, and anything over 500 miles is at the base rate.
How does that work for 99 or 101 or 199 .299 etc miles and what determines that number? What's the break even number?
