You are going to buy a dash cam based on spam bulk marketing?

    Yeesh.

Im looking over cams too. I do not want anything less than 1080p HD video plus audio and ability to loop every certain amount of hours among other things.

You want to have a dash cam he said she said don't do well anymore in court.

I've been thinking about getting a dash cam for a while now, but the reason is I might take a trip and would like to record some of it and put it on a DVD. I thought about putting one in a truck, never went through with it,

That's a good question, I would think that would be if you had a hand held camera with intent to purposely video tape a person. I would think a dash cam would not fall into that category.

Anyone in public is fair game. Check the Commandments of videotaking.

Now.. they are trying to criminalize video taking for a variety of very good reasons.

Dashcams offer money to pawn to thieves able to steal it while you are parked downtown. Best to have it removable.

Ours in my town are protected and run 24/7 in the police cruisers backed by facial recognizng software. I have taken to not driving certain specific streets in specific times of day to avoid such recording. It's approaching a point at which if Im wanted and drive by.. beep come catch me.

I don't think so copper. Im not the one wanted here. If we had a problem with it as a majorty in our town, we would have to address our City Council first and then work up.
