    Hey Truckers,
I was approved too work for a FedEx Ground contractor,
Since I have minimal experience I have too do the 300 hrs with a lead driver. It is a team position. .65cpm during training .72cpm after training. It's a dedicated Route 5-6 days out 1-2 day off. 5000-6000 miles a week. They also offer benefits No 401k offered also its 1hr 45 mins from my house. In Concord, NC. I currently have a job with a Glass company making $20 an hr. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

1st: determine if team driving is something you can do over time, not just once or twice just to try it out. It's constant movement.

2nd: IF the miles you quoted are accurate then you'll definitely do better financially.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

I teamed once. Wouldn't do it again.

    Your mileage may vary.....

The commute is too much. That plus teaming will not work out in the long run.

I had a co-driver tell me with a straight face after I complained about his smelly armpits that was his natural "scent".

    Hey Bryan,
I decided not to take the job commute was too long.
Teaming is risky too many variables. I'm looking at 2 companies. Continental Express & Red Gold Transport
Any insight on these 2 companies. Thanks
