I believe the trucker!!! I only been drivin a short time but I sometimes dont give a #### whats in trailer as long as paperwork they hand me is good to go, I'm out the door
Look at all the trucks DHS has pulled over and/or seized going through their checkpoints. That tells you everything you need to know on their thoughts on the issue. Ignorance is not an excuse.
I can smell a joint from outside your truck( happened this week at truck stop). How can you not smell 2,000 pounds of pot?
All the vacuum sealing of plastic bags in the world isn’t going to stop the sniffer dogs from getting a whiff.
Well, I disagree without trying to be disagreeable. I pick up plenty of trailers that I have no idea whatsoever what's in the box. I can show you paperwork that SAYS what's in the box, but I couldn't swear that there was anything in it. I stopped at a border check point just outside of Laredo one time and the guy says, "what's in the box?". I said, "I have no idea." He said, "Roll on, driver." I said, "Yes sir."
Dude, it can be, and is scented to defeat Bruno the Dope Sniffing Dog. It's just like viruses & anti-viruses, once they are hip to what they are masking it with, Bruno us trained to alert on that scent.
I agree. When I did refrigerated, I wondered how much dope I moved along with that produce. Especially when your loaded and unloaded at the places where you don't get near the dock.
Legend has it that drivers were hauling drugs and didn't know it at a company I won't name. But drivers would do drops and hooks as normal. But the shop would dismount the tires and break them down to get the drugs out. Eventually the terminal manager and a few others were caught up with on the drug smuggling. Drivers don't know about the haul unless they are part of the deal. At a company I use to work at. A kilo was found in the tube on the trailer. The driver basicly said the same thing this guy said. But he also told them to fingerprint the kilo. And they wouldn't find his prints anywhere. Well he was a free man after a while. And after speaking to a border patrol agent. He informed me that they would come out of the river and hide drugs at our location a lot. This would explain the individuals I heard speaking in Spanish outside the truck one night. But in these situations your criminal history is looked at. And if you have any drug convictions. No one will beleave you even if your telling the truth.
