I just tossed my Canon because I was 100% sure it was shot. Then I went and bought the same exact one (MG2522) and it let me down within 5 days. Something going on with Canon drivers/"IJ utility software".

Any luck with other ones? They are getting expensive!

I liked the Canon because they were only $42.00 and nothing else that cheap!

I am a long time tech and I could not figure it out and honestly don't want to troubleshoot brand new stuff!

So I returned that POS and I am on the hunt!

I bought the cheapest Brothers all in one that Office Depot had 6 years ago and it still works.

Back in the mid 2000's when my wife & I had the Hotshot, we used a printer copier scanner.
Instead of running down a truck stop & paying the price per page, I'd have the broker or customer send me the paperwork via email. I'd print it out, sign it, scan it & email it back. 5 minutes tops... Never get out of the truck.

Even back then, I couldn't believe that companies didn't have the technology or the staff that could scan & attach to an email. All then knew how to do was fax. Fax was so 1980's.....
Been putting a man on the moon since 1969 and they still want to fax....
Its the 21st century for Christ's sake.

We used a brother as well. Now, I like the HP Laser Jet printers.

I know of camscam. I am just old school and I have a office and I am in it quite a bit.

I have bad arse PC's and a file system I am used to.

Canon just dropped the ball bad recently it seems. The reviews all say the same thing. Works and then it just doesn't!

    I just ordered this.

Canon PIXMA MG2522 Wired All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer [USB Cable Included], White - Walmart.com

25 bucks more than the cheap Canon. We shall see. I am not a huge fan of HP either but I will ONLY scan with this and print with my black and white laser printer.

I really hate these all in ones and miss the days of a good old simple flatbed scanner!

I have been telling people for 20 years to buy printers and scanners locally so when they fail I am not involved!

I deliver new custom built machines that last 15+ years and I want nothing to do with their printer/scanner issues!
