I have read and read about this question and cannot get a definitive answer. The clinics like Concentra and so on who do DOT physicals, do they have access to a database of my medical records? Like is there some central database they are going to look at during the physical that has all my medical records in them for my entire life? My current DOT physical was really easy and I passed no problem but he did not go through my medical records.
They should not have access to your medical records. But as far as Concentra, stay away if you can. They will try to push sleep studies on you, whether you need one or not.
Ok it’s not that I really lied or anything, but I said I didn’t smoke ever but did 10 years ago and took a medicine in college 10+ years ago that would be a disqualification. If they can just pull my entire life up in an instant that could be a problem.
Look THIS FORM over VERY carefully. Any Clinic will ONLY have the information YOU provide on this form AND any medical history you have with them. This is no database anywhere that I know of that contains what is basically covered by HIPAA. This IS NOT what some call the state narcotic prescription database.
No I’m not kidding. It is in my medical history from all those years ago in my online doctors portal.
You lied about smoking cigarettes and a med that you took..10 years ago, holy crap! It’s only a fluffin DOT, basic physical.
You'll be ok. Just talk about recent stuff and stuff they can prove. But to your original question, no. Good luck
