Well I haven't seen any discussion on here yet about the DriveCam 'pilot' program...so I will poke this hornets nest.Thoughts or comments ?? I might be able to answer a question or clear up some rumors too...I have drove a work truck with this system in it.
How do you like it, my company is going to test it out in 100 trucks. I'm not too worried about it. I can use all the help and or pat on the backs to make me a better driver.
Ok why wont the drive cam stay stuck to the windshield? They have had to reattach it twice this last time I put gorilla glue on it and it still fell off?
Ehh I didn't install them just had to endure having one. Sounds like a shoddy install or the window wasn't cleaned properly beforehand.
It's been talked about. I have my own camera facing out and have no issue with cameras pointing out. That one facing you will never benefit the driver. I know people who quit over it already.
Millis seems to sliding down the slippery slope to becoming a CDL mill. Our reputation was much better when I started here.
I was told by an instructor last week that no one had quit over them yet...but I had talked to a guy who quit the day he got the Qualcom message telling him he was getting one.
I saw someone mention pats on the back for good behaviors. To my knowledge this system gives you safety points for things they consider bad like loud music, profanity, drinking a soda etc. but I have seen nothing on the good side. So once again I say this system is there to find fault with the driver. Not to cover his backside
At my last count three had quit on ga regional over it. Or it was the straw that broke the camels back
