the goverment doesnt enact any law without cause they go overboard and do it wrong but have a reason to start the process drivers starting them in writing more laws by ignoring common sense driving habits like when i had licenses in 3 states when they ban all cell phone use blame the truck beside you with the phone to his ear and no headset
everybody you talked too, probably isn't very bright to begin with and more then likely failed math. anyone that's making more money on elogs wasn't making very much to begin with. and obviously can't do the math on their hos. cuz i, for one, MADE LESS. lesson learned, NEVER run with one again. my laptop does a better job. and doesn't get on my case.
Elogs and current hours of service cannot be in any drivers best interest. Refuse and find another carrier. Split sleeper like the old hours of service or some deep rate increases is the only way I see to make it work. Seriously fellows you are gonna pay for a truck and be told you can't go home when you are two hours away? That's right you are allowed one hour of off duty driving your family will need to wait another eleven to see you. I don't buy into you will make more money on elogs, what are you thinking there? I have a feeling shippers are going to refuse to load carriers on elogs. You can run 60 now and save fuel, guess what when you get on that clock the old cat's gonna be working. Good luck with elogs if you take that route. Prepare your family for less daddy time and less food on the table.
Elogs suck for example call wife and kids and tell them sorry wont be home cause ill be out of hours 30 minutes from house.
I'd keep running paper logs and tell them I could find someone else to work with if that's a problem. You have lots of options.
you want freedom and personal responsibility get your own authority wait to get paid etc etc etc lease to a carrier play their games by their rules
Exactly...........there are plenty of carriers who still don't run eobrs...........jump ship or play by their rules.....it's just that simple.
