As in... Ender's Game. How many Swifties know of Ender? How many are looking forward to the upcoming movie? I hope they get it at least close to the book version.
Although, I think it should have been made as a 3-part series of movies. You just can't capture everything in 2 hours.
Orson Scott Card himself is VERY involved with the movie, and apparently is very picky about how it is being done. So I'm excited about it. I've been listening to the entire series of Ender books on audio... I love them all! ...I'm not a Swift driver but I just HAD to comment on one of my favorite books
I just loaded all the books onto my tablet, I am unsure if Steve will be interrested. That said books are books and movies are movies and movies from books are usually a sad dissapointment. I will start them after I finish Seven Years in Tibet... Would you read them in release order or chronological order for storyline since they are different?
Well, here's the chronological order if you want to read the entire saga beginning to end: Earth Unaware Earth Afire Earth Awakens Ender's Game Ender's Shadow (Note: The events of Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow take place in roughly the same time period.) Shadow of the Hegemon Shadow Puppets Shadow of the Giant Ender in Exile (Note: This takes place during Shadow of the Hegemon and through Shadow of the Giant) Shadows in Flight Speaker for the Dead Xenocide Children of the Mind Shadows Alive (This book hasn't been released yet) Personally, I have been reading (or i should say listening to) the Shadow series first after Enders Game, because the rest of the Ender series of books is more philosophical in nature and I get more enjoyment from the science fiction and action side of the stories, although I'm sure I'll read at least a couple from the remaining Enders series of books later on to see what happened to him. So far, here's the order I am reading in, and it has been quite enjoyable: Ender's Game Ender's Shadow Shadow of the Hegemon Shadow Puppets Shadow of the Giant Shadows in Flight (Im about to start listening to this one soon) Next, I plan to listen to the three prequels, only two of those are on audio right now though: Earth Unaware Earth Afire Earth Awakens (Ill listen to this one whenever it comes out on audiobook) And then finally, I'll likely start listening to the Ender series as long as the story holds my attention. Who knows, I may end up being dragged into Enders back story as much as I was dragged into Beans. And I'll listen to the Shadows Alive book whenever it makes it to audio, but as far as I know it's not even complete yet. I'm willing to bet that if the Ender movie is successful, there will be sequels. That remains to be seen, however, because there is a huge amount on controversy surrounding the movie, and a lot of people may be planning to boycott it due to Card's very public and very offensive remarks on certain subjects. However, if it is successful, you can bet we'll see sequels.
