Does anyone have any experience with an Engel fridge? I like the fact that they work on 12 volt, but I'm wondering if they are really worth the $$.

    Thanks!

I've heard very good things about them.

IIRC, they are made here in SC, and that makes me very happy.

I use the Norcold (Engel) and mine was made in Japan. It's about $1000. Engel is the best and is a chest style AC/DC. I can stand on mine. This unit will freeze stuff solid.

Flying J has the Waeco CR-50 for $439 (Flying J Jacksonville, MS) -that uses the Danfus compressor and is a refridge style DC unit.
