Engine oil

Been using Mistyk oil for the past 3 yrs no problems. Want to switch over to Rotella or Delo because they are easier to find at stores. Mistyk oil only found at dealer (peterbilt, kenworth) whats better for a c15 accert engine. If yall have used this oils will appreciate yalls feedback.

 

Rotella. Every 13000 miles

 

T6 is pretty cheap at walmart 18.66

Its just oil. So long as it meets the manufacturer's standards I wouldn't worry about it.

 

T6 Rotella synthetic for me. 20ish intervals. Reports look good.

 

I'd stay away from t6. Its too thin.

 

Not trying to sound like a jerk, but says who?

I’ve been running it for a year or more.

It’s on Volvo’s approved list as are a bunch of other 5w-40’s.

Just a year. Sure there'll be no problems. Come 400k or so miles you'll see significant wear

 

Keep in mind I know nothing except for cummins.
