I drive a company vehicle for a major company, and the registration for the tractor expires every year come January. I let them know well in advance that it was coming up. January 1st, I told them it was expired and needed attention. January 11th, still no sticker and I get the run around saying it's been sent to upper management. What are the consequences if i get stopped? One driver I talked to said I could be arrested. I have no reason to doubt him given his 20+ years, but I would like to see if someone knows the exact repercussions. I drive in Florida.
If a Major company and if on QC... send a message to the safety dept. It is your ticket if you get caught... You are in control of the paperwork that goes with the truck.
Not sure what tickets you could get. You could be put OOS until your registration is paid and you have a TVR. I just did this January 2nd took about 3 hours between submitting reports online and making payment. Received Temporary Vehicle Registration the next day via email. Good luck.
Have your CO. fax you a copy of current tag rec. so that you can use it to get back to a term. to P/U the sticker?
Appreciate it everyone, I'll tell them I can't drive it any longer until it's updated. Not worth the risk or anything on my license.
Yup, I had to sit at a scale until the registration was renewed. It showed up on their computer right away, so they let me go when it was completed.
