I am looking at trying to get my CDL from swift. Back in 1996 I was convicted of a couple felonies. I have been off probation in late 1998 early 1999 early as in Jan. They added some time credit so the end date changed. I know swift says 10 years on convictions and I will list them but would they still look at them being 14/15 yr old. I have nothing on my record after that and no traffic tickets 9 yrs Just want to see what my chances are making it with swift Thanks for your time
What Swift does with the information is up to Swift. Ask your recruiter and be totally honest. Leave nothing out. If you do, that will end your career very quickly.
DD gave some good advice! If your arrests involved drugs or theft, you may have a tough time getting hired. However, your issues are way in the past so you may not even have to list them on an app. Its been a long time since I filled out my app for Swift, so I do not remember how far back they go with arrests/convictions.
Main thing I noticed when I went to school was that if you were honest up front it saved a lot of time and money. I suggest you disclose everything to the recruiter. They will know what and how to handle it.
