Thanks R-n-R. I'll be completing CDL school at the beginning of October and FFE is on my short list of companies to consider. Looking forward to your posts.

Ask for American Eagle division (dry freight). FFE does a lot of meat loads, you don't want to mess with meat packing plants if you don't have to.:biggrin_2552:

I'm on the FFE side and I have done it all since I been here... LTL, Lisa loads, AE loads. Just spent a week pulling a stupid dry van. Give me the reefer any day. I been pretty lucky, only waited once for a meat load. But I like it here.

Yup it's all one company now, and besides that when you have a reefer trailer you can haul anything, you can't haul coldgoods with a dryvan.

Make sure you dot all your I's and cross all T's with FFE. They have screwed many a driver over the last 30 years. You can make a living, but when push comes to shove have your ducks in a row or they will cobb you out of as much as possible. Good luck to you.

Done for today at ornt. Did the normal BS paperwork. The drug test, the physical very easy no stress test or anything. Some got sent home or had problems with bp. So make sure you got that under control when you get here. Driving test was easy but remeber I've been at this awhile. Not sure if they gave the same test to newbies.
Will let everyone know how tomorrow goes today was easy but I had no problems but some did and are worried.

This company lost 5.2 million dollars last QTR. This company is going broke. I would reconsider going elsewhere.
