LOL Put some chains on the tarp lol Thatll hold it lol Those chains are heavy. Every load Ive picked up from a shipper since I went solo has been chained.... Three straight coil loads... All suicide...hmmm Starting to see a pattern here lol

question on load securement...when hauling coils why cant they be laid on their side? Seems like it would me a lot easier to secure, if they cant roll. Is it just for the ease of loading and unloading?
Some are loaded eye to the sky, ie on their side. Guess its just what kind of coil it is n how the shipper wants to load it. Ive never hauled um eye to the sky, only suicide.
It's also in how the consignee can UNload it. I've hauled a number of coils eye to the sky. They're not difficult, but a little more time consuming than shotgun or suicide. I prefer hauling suicide when I have a choice. This is Precision Strip in Middletown, OH .... I snapped a quick photo while they were starting to load me eye to the sky. Really short load, and a pain in the rear end to tarp because of it.
Ya. The last load of coils I had took 3 hours to secure n tarp, took 2 to deliver... lol Next time we will load the coils differently. Not sure about these coils Im picking up today, theyre aluminum. Only info I was given on um. Besides that I have to call in n hear the speech about what not to do.
