Freightstar Expedited has to be one of the worst companies for a driver period. This company makes up excuses when it comes to paying drivers in full on Friday’s and to say the least being paid on a 1099 by a company who will try to give you the amount owed on EFS checks which the Truck Stops take out a overwhelming amount of taxes. Freightstar also charges each driver $15 - $25 to deposit checks into their accounts no matter it you have a FREE checking account or not. This is another company owned by foreigners who pay you through banks way overseas. Each and every person who decides to work for this company is taking a risk on losing their possessions at home. You’re also going to be charged for your own flight, drug screen, and a late fee even though your dispatcher clearly know that you won’t get your ours back in time to pick up your next load. Freightstar’s communication sucks all around. The equipment is horrible as well. There’s an add posted on Craigslist that says $1.00 per mile, but you won’t get much miles. We’re taking about 1,500 miles a week. You will drive in their triangle, make them a lot of money from the load, but you won’t make much due to the miles that are given.
Did you go with this company knowing full well that you would be paid under 1099 system? This alone should been the first red flag.
Freightstar expedited has been a good company to me since being employed good miles good home time and great compensation for staying out longer and working a little harder I haven’t experienced anything negative don’t believe all negative reviews on
