I’m changing a 12k lbs front axle to a 20k lbs front axle on a 95 4964 and doing this with the blind eye and was wondering anyone can tell me how the mounting bracket for the steering assist cylinder goes?

I thought most if not all 20k fronts used 2 steering boxes not an assist cylinder…but a cylinder would be easier and better than nothing

Western Star uses a cylinder on the passenger side. They've done it that way for years.

Volvo did the same at one point in time on their vocational models.

Been a long time since I was up close to one of those cylinders. I seem to recall it bolted up to the frame kind of around where the front spring pin sits. Google isn't really being too helpful.
