How long ago were the accidents? Depending on what type of accidents as well. You shouldn't have to much of a problem unless they are recent.

anything on your driving record.... tickets, accidents, suspensions, revokes, will go against you right out of the box.

best to get a copy of your driving record and see FOR YOURSELF if they still show up.

DO NOT LISTEN to any dumbarse school salesman that you can "skate right on through"...all he WANTS, is his commission.

Carriers and insurance companies usually only go back 3 years. If these accidents have been longer than that then it should not be a problem. If it has been within those three years then it could be a problem, depending on the carrier. I would first check with a few of the "training" carriers to see if they will accept you based upon what is on your mvr. As someone else mentioned, you need to get a copy of your mvr and see what is on it before making a decision. Most carriers will accept 2-3 moving violations within the last 3 years. Policies differ on accidents. One won't usually cause much of a problem, two or more could be an issue. You didn't mention whether the accidents were your fault. If they were not considered your fault, then they should not be too much of a problem with most carriers.

What you need to consider is you'll be competing with thousands of wannabes with clean MVR's . Most likely any company that would hire you you won't want to work for .

I agree with these posts, you need to get a copy of your mvr. It's also true that if the accidents were NOT deemed your fault you should be OK. I speak from experience I was in my personal vehicle and got hit by someone running a red light. I wad not ticketed and was able to get on driving OTR 6 months after the wreck.

Thank you for the information. Ill request a copy of my mvr first thing on monday. & as in for school, ill still attend it and receive my cdl. i was expecting a completely negative answer to my question but waiting for 3 years is not a problem at all. i mean everything has a consequence, and that's mine for having those 2 accidents recently. Ill keep my head up and do my best. Thanks again to everyone that answered my question.

ok, now the rules have changed. what i underlined/bolded.

if those accidents are less than 3 years old, and you go to school soon, and get your CDL NOW..you may not get hired. in fact, if you go to school NOW, and get your CDL..?? and do not start driving right away..??

you WILL HAVE TO GO BACK to school and get a refresher course, at YOUR EXPENSE..!!!

i'd wait till the time is up, THEN GO to school.

now maybe that IS what you are saying..?? that you will wait..???

    also, from now till then..??

STAY out of trouble with any more accidents.!!!!

drive like an angel..., no tickets, etc,etc....
