No they cant...you cant get a pacar in a freghtliner or Detroit in a volvo. At least you cant buy them new that way. As for doing after, you would need a completely custom wiring harness. That statement of any engin trans in any truck is completely false. You can't get an ishift in anything but volvo, you cant get a detroit trans in anything but WS of FL. You cant get pacar in anything bur pete/kw. You cant get max force in anything but international. (shall i go one with examples of why your statement is completely wrong) The only motor and trans you can get in any truck is cummins motor with Eaton trans.
Well we are not all new age truckers. Not saying that is bad or wrong, but merely saying some of u come from a time that you could get anything you wanted. Mack was about the only one that stood alone. Just because we overlook a few minor details doesn't mean we are to senile to know what we are talking about. Such as Mack doesn't Hardley build anything of it's own anymore used to they built it all.
The I-Shift which is by far the best automated transmission is available in a number of trucks besides Volvo. In Mack , Renault and UD Nissan for instance. Paccar in DAF trucks and Cummins/Eaton are not available in a number of trucks as well.
Really? So an automatic car - which weighs substantially less than a semi - will have three to seven, yet a Class 8 truck auto trans only has one gear? How do they not throw out the driveshaft every time they try taking off from a .73/.74 gear ratio? All of which fall under the umbrella of Volvo A.B., though. The I-shift isn't available in anything not manufactured by a Volvo A.B. company.
