Yes, he can. Out 12 days and home. Will not really make any money but yes you can. Count them up on the calendar. Leave the house on Monday and can be back home 1 week from Friday. Yes. I work here
I "worked there" for 13 months, a couple of years ago. It was a good place to get back on the road after a 20 year absence, too. I averaged 2,900m/month, paid on time, no complaints. So, yes, I did. Also, What I'm saying is you can put in for home after the specified timeframe (forgot) but you have to get a load going that way, they're not deadheading you home. It makes a difference. If you're out 12 days, you won't even have 2 full days off coming to you....how does that work? Now a kinder, gentler place? I got a brand new 2012 Volvo 670, really a sweet driving truck, and when I took 5 days off they took it away. Sad.....I got a beater ProStar.
Ok thank you. You know as well as I do a lot of people have an opinion with no actual knowledge to back it up.
Yeah I work here too. No way is based on a couple of things... As a Company OTR driver the current rule according to my DM is you have to be out a minimum of 12 days to make your hometime request then you have to allow planners 5 days to fulfill that request. So you're looking at around 17 day cycles according to her. Secondly I made the assumption that the OP actually wanted to make decent money driving. You won't make squat in OTR trying to go home every two weeks.
The norm most companies is one day off for every 7 days out.. Every other weekend would mean a 34 hour restart.. That's about it.. Enjoy !
