Well, my husband just left for orientation and then 6 weeks with a mentor for Swift. I have to say - it really sucks!
3 kids, 13, 4 and 2 and I am working and in nursing school. I am really glad that he has dedicated himself to a career that will pay the bills when I can no longer work due to school work load.
Does anyone have any ideas about juggling life when your spouse/significant other is on the road?

It sounds like you had a lot to deal with before he even left! :biggrin_2554:
I mean, three kids, a job, and nursing studies ?! :biggrin_25524:

Be sure to follow Lilbit's advice and go find the Ladies Room, there are a lot of wives there who are only too happy to support someone new to this lifestyle.

    But for starters -
Do you know how to turn off water and electricity in your home in an emergency?
Have you got a list of people to help when it all goes wrong - electrician, plumber, auto mechanic, etc?
How are your kids dealing with this new adventure?
have you got a good cellphone plan, and maybe skype and email too?

OK, I'll quit with the advice, once I get started I just forget to stop!

Welcome to TTR, now head over to the Ladies Room and get yapping! :biggrin_25523:

Thanks! I will be a regular here. I do know how to do a lot of stuff... my favorites are plowing the snow (playing) with the tractor and threatening to use the chain saw! We live off the beaten path and those are necessities.
Thanks for making me feel welcome!

    Mrs T Thanks this.
