I'm tired of Plantronics ear piece. They work better than anything I've ever used, as in I can hear callers very well and clearly, but they don't hold up very well to my abuse. Looking for something different. What earpiece is everyone using out there that is any good??? Don't really care for the big airline pilot style headsets, personal preference there..

I didn't think I'd like my Blue Parrot coming from an earpiece, but now I won't use anything else. Try one for a week, if you don't like it, send it back. My guess is you'll keep it.

I used Plantronics for years , they're about as good as it gets for that style of earpiece. I now have the Blue Tiger Pro, which is far superior in audio and noise canceling. It is more cumbersome, but I can hear and others can hear me. Wind has no effect on it whatsoever, unlike the Plantronics, so far the only noise that's made it through is the reefer engine when I'm out fueling or whatever.

Blue Parrot B250-XT. Best one I've had so far.

    Mr Rollin

go with Blue Parrott, I didn't test others (didn't want to spend more money since I love mine)

    Just make sure to go with B250 XT (16 h talk time) NOT B250 XT+ (20 h)

    differences:

    1. B250XT+ couldn't turn off flashing lights (XT was very easy to do it)

    2. couldn't turn off speaking lady voice off (I have enough of my wife's...):biggrin_25525:

    3. volumes-when I went one press up was very loud, one press down to quiet.

Maybe others who have it found solutions, please share if so....

If You want to buy check Ebay and Amazon, they have much better pricing then truckstops.

Other option, Jawbone Era, got for my wife (that's way she call me so often, ugh...),

never tested in truck myself but she sound better then standing next to me....

But looks kind of girlish and little pricey...

    Another Blue Parrot.

I prefer the in-ear types, as I also don't like the headset style. But you can't beat it for being able to hear clearly. I only wear it when talking, otherwise it's in the other seat at arms reach. If I''m out of the truck and expecting a call I'll have it around my neck. Or I forget and leave it in there, then scramble to switch to the handset when the phone rings.
