The reason i wanna get into the trucking industry is because im at a dead end job its a small basement waterproffing company ive been there 8 yrs and there is no room to move up and no health benifits.I would love to be a flatbed driver i enjoy hard work so i think i would enjoy skatebording any input or advice would be helpful

Community Colleges are usually cheaper but take longer to complete and no pay during training. Company sponsored training is paid starting at around 250pw to 500pw depending on the company.

If your getting into trucking thinking its better career choice for you than do it.A lot of people get into trucking and come to find out its an't for them, now to answer your question,a private trucking school or a trucking company own school works if your planing to stick with it,for an example,Swift Transportation,FFE,Central Ref just to name a few have own schools where either its free or only required a low down payment.I'm not 100% how that works but I do know they will make you sign a contact stating you will drive for them for X amount of time, can be 12 months to 18 months. Also you can look into the W.I.A grant.
