You need to start the process of getting a new one. Notifie your state and they will let you know what steps to take. You won't lose your license.

What's the most important thing a CDL holder has? I'll just keep driving til I figure it out. Going back? Nah.

No, but you can be cited for not having it in your possession.

You’ll have to get a duplicate license from your state’s DMV.

I have friends (females too) that will not keep their wallets in their pocket or in the case of a lady her bag. I have lost count of the times a friend who is taking me to an appointment will suddenly say I got to go back home because I left my wallet at home. My wallet NEVER leaves my hand until it is placed back in my pocket. When bathing and afterward changing clothes I always move my wallet from the dirty pants pocket to the clean pants pocket along with my door key and my pocket change. It always befuddles me why people do this. I know some people have a wallet 4 inches thick and can't sit on it. I guess this is one of those things that some people will never figure out.

If your driving a company truck they probably have a photo copy of driver license. They can just fax you a copy.

Look at the bright side, at least you didn't drop it on a side street in San Francisco!

    Do what I do.

Take a pic, front & back, save it on google drive. If it's lost and you get pulled over, you can show it on your phone (as an image)

This all assumes that you are not black - coz, if you are ... you might get shot while holding your phone like that dude in California.
