Hey JP how ya doing. I have a little problem and maybe you can help. I haven't had enough post's to PM you so I have to do this in the open, Sorry bought that. I have a 02 T300 KW last 7 of the vin is M894664 It has a 3126 Cat in it now with 720,000 on the clock. I have a 02 ISC Cummins from a Peterbuilt. And I want to swap the engines. I know that Kenworth put the ISC in a T300 I just don't know what years. Is there a harness piece that will allow me to plug and play so to speak. Or will I have to wire it up from scratch. If I have to do that is there a print out of the pin positions on the plug in's. And one more question, Is the small pc board on the back of the info display the same or will I need to get one of those too. Any and all help with this will be appreciated. Thanks William

 

As far as I know there is no plug and play harness or adapter, I think your best bet is to find a similar model truck that had the engine you are going to be swapping in. We dont really have any resources that list year and models of engines, i can probably help with some diagrams but thats about it. And yeah you will prbably have to change the display as well.

Don't know about that but I believe there is a company out there that makes wire harnesses for engine swaps cat to cummins or detroit etc. Can't recall the name of the company and from what I do recall they are expensive. You might try posting this in the main garage section asking.

 

KW wiring harness
I was wondering if it is reasonable to obtain a wiring harness for a 95 w900l the one that comes out of the ecm and goes to the tractor. last 6 of vin are 646721 thanks
I'm asking because I can't get my kw dealer to give me a wiring diagram. The fan is coming on for no reason and staying on goes off for about 30 seconds then right back on

 

I'm looking for owners manual for 2008 T660 can you help me find one KW Guy.

owners manual or service manual?

Not sure about an owners manual, but a service manual is available for about $600, these are made custom for each serial number.
