I know there's probably a gazzilion threads made with these same questions. I'm looking for updated information.

A friend from work and myself were both offered a job with Holland. We have completeled everything, except the driving test. I'm looking to start linehaul in a few weeks, and he is looking at local.

Can anyone tell me what we can expect? First year pay? How vacation increases throughout the years? Are you respected as a driver from management? Any additional information you'd like to give would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Most of those questions could have been answered during your interview not to sound like a dick

The interviewer sometimes may have a tendency to embellish the truth.

@samletch - If you want the cold, hard truth, ask your question in this other forum: Holland

It is much better to know ahead of time what you're getting into. You could use it as a stepping stone into better LTL jobs in the future, but to be honest the pay, equipment, and conditions there are horrible compared to their glory days.
