After 12 hours sleeper from last night into this morning I drove for a total of 25 minutes today. I picked up a repower which I need a full 11 hours to make the apt. So after my 25 minutes of driving today I took an 8 hour break. I now show 10 hrs 35 minutes on my 11 hour and 3 hrs 4 minutes on my 14 hour. Will I get 10 hours and 56 minutes back on my 14 hour at midnight? I discussed this withe my FM prior to accepting the repower and he said that I would. Just looking to make sure.
you should get 11 hours back after your 10 hour break. Unless of course you are using recap hours in which you would get the hours you worked 8 days ago.
Go in and edit your 8 hour break, to 8 hours in the sleeper ... Your 14 has been running all day. The 8 hours has to be continuous in the sleeper in order to extend the 14.
No, you will not get your 14hr time back at midnight, that's not how it works. You have to achieve a full 10hr break in order to reset your 14hr clock. The only time you gain time back at midnight is on your 70hr clock. If you're showing 3 hrs 14 mins left on your 14, that's what you have until you take a full break. Now, if your 8 hour break was done as 8 consecutive hours in the sleeper berth then it would have extended your 14, but you must not have done that because it subtracted that time from your 14. You're down for the count, 10 hrs.
Also make sure that you take into account traffic, terrain and also any fueling you would have to do as well as your 30 minute break. Want to leave yourself a buffer of time in your trip planning for unforeseen events and still being able to arrive on time.
I don't think we have enough info to answer. I think you need to be more specific that saying "from last night until this morning". Assuming you have enoug room on your 70, can you not just sit two more hrs and turn your 8 into a 10 and then drive for 11?
