    New to ELD's.

Had an early start, very little driving, interspersed with mainly SB/off duty time.

Now I have 1:45 on my 14 hour, and 8:39 on my 11.

How much longer can I drive today?

    Thanks in advance

The HOS is the same as when you were on paper.

Sounds like a display bug. What ELD are you using?

And yes, you still only have 14 hours (or 16 in two specific exemptions) a day to work. No different than since what was it? 2000 is was the new HOS?
In any case we've had the 14 for awhile....

Well, oldmuleskinner should be well rested when he does finally get a chance to drive.

Any ELD worth it's salt should always be telling you how much drive time you have remaining before you need to stop to do some sort of break.

This influx of ELD's of late seems to be highlighting the REAL problem ... seems many were doing all wrong, all along, either out of ignorance or ability to disregard the rules altogether because nobody in the office really gave a dam or understood the rules.

You got 1hr 45min left to drive, goal to the sleeper birth for 8 straight hours as c15 you'll get a split sleeper and you'll have whatever you didn't use back

in this kind of case, you're best to use a split sleeper birth. if you were in sleeper for those 8 hours you were not driving the rest of your day would add on to the end. please, note. you would still need to take those other 2 hours to be truly compliant.
