Most guys that are with them are happy, 48 Hours home on the weekend, Assigned Tractors, Most Guys I've talked to made 65K last year doing the Mid-Atlantic and not including the NE... As far North they go is Syracuse, Far South as NC, Far West as Ohio..

You can make a little money with Houff and their equipment is rated 1st class, nothing fancy, but 1st class. On the other hand, if they have not changed, I hoped you have tough skin because you will be talked to like a dog. Been there and done it.

Stay away!! You can make great money by breaking the law, and they allow it, and encourage it, however as soon as you are busted, you are on your own to pay the consequences and most of the time get fired. If you refuse to break the law, they give you crappy loads that don't pay, as your punishment. They push safety, but safety is only on paper. Most trucks run over weight, drivers keep multiple log books, run way over hours, to keep the owners Doug and Zane Houff happy. Once you stop because you are sick, afraid of getting busted, they put you on the bottom.

They are a company with good points and bad points. The money is good but they have a HUGE amount to learn about treating drivers with a little respect. They love to write you up for silly stupid stuff we all do and then ask you to run heavy and hot.

Equipment is kept up very well so that is a real plus but a little respect would go a long way.
