    well you did $160, I did $168k with a $8k reefer so it is what it is I guess. I don't run CA. as far as I'm concerned they can all starve to death before I run out there again.

    I ran idaho, OR, WA to IL, MI or WI. i'd run for 2.5-3 weeks and then i'd go home for a week or two. I live in TX and the freight coming out of TX sucks, lucky if it covers expenses

    You had more time off throughout the year so that explains the difference being only 8k, more time on the road for you, in theory would equate to more revenue, but not everyone wants to do a month out with 3-4 days off. I myself grew weary of it and have spent the last two months researching running under my own authority.

    I now have a wife and a son. trucking is all i've ever known but it's not worth a divorce. I grew up watching my dad and my drivers go through wives as fast as trucks. not for me.

    I'd plan to go home for a week. sometimes it took a day or two to find a load that payed enough to haul, sometimes it took a week. I averaged 10 days probably.
