2018 KW Cummins X15 Performance series. Had the check engine light come on and the code misfire #6 cylinder. Changed #6 injector. Do you have to program the new injector ? I have a thumping sound through the air filters. Replaced the injector and had the valves adjusted. There was 1 to loose and 2 to tight. The code went inactive and had it cleared. Drove it about 1 hour everything seams fine. Any clue what the thumping noise is ?
Injector does not require programming. There is a fuel injector reset prompt under ECM diagnostic tests that tells the ECM you installed a new injector. Only reset the injector you replaced. Don’t have anything for you on the thump noise. I’m a lot better at it in person.
