I will say I leave my Jake on 24/7, saves my brake pads from being over used.

That said, my Jake is almost whisper quiet. I can use it going through small towns and no one knows unless your next to the truck.

But I turn it off when I go into a truck stop. The super truckers that will set off their Jake in the truck stop are just trying to get a attention in my opinion. Its sad.

I do love the sound of a Jake, but not when I'm trying to sleep.

What I hate is that its my generation.

Most people my age are always expecting everything to be given to them, then they get on with a company and quit a month later because things aren't going their way.

I grew up without anything just handed to me. I had to work for it. These other people that are killing what used to be known as manners and respect for one another on the road.

Sorry OP. I didn't mean to get off topic.

Yeah... this is commonplace. Get used to it. Truck stops are not safe havens where peaceful sleep occurs.

If it's not the Jake brakes, it's the hookers and panhandlers beating on the side of your truck any hour of the day.

I guess that's the thanks I get for running a nice looking truck, I supposed to support every other POS who doesn't want to work.
