I'm guessing this is the norm(?)... been here for 4-5 hours now waiting for our load... several other JCT'ers here (at least 8-10)... some have been here as long as us... a few have seem to come in and leave before the rest of us... other company trucks waiting here as well. Pick up was at 2:00. How long can the wait be here? And I'm guessing none of you guys are here... you would have come over to say hi by now... LOL:biggrin_25525:.

Anyway... it's a 4 stop load.... TX, MO, IL and OH. Hopefully the winter storms will be taking a break for a change!

P.S. I've seen several JCT trucks with no letters at the end of the number the past few days so there ARE drivers out there that own their trucks! I've got that right... no letter after the number means they own it???

I did not go with USX due to rejection, but will be getting on with a O/O as an apprentice.

Wilcox loads can be drop and hook or long waits, no rhyme or reason.
No letter after number means BRAND NEW TRUCK. No previous driver

AHHHH... OK... thanks... that makes more sense LMB... there are at least 4 of them here right now... no previous owners. Still a lot of us here waiting.... more coming in than going out. Good thing... hubby is catching up on needed sleep... bad thing... less time to get to the first drop...:biggrin_25511:.

The life of a trucker....:biggrin_25525:... gotta LOVE it, right...!?!

Why is it you always get these long waits when you just ran out of sandwiches... the cooler needs a restock... you need to do that Walmart shop, etc. 9 times of out 10. Oh... we have food... I would never totally run out... just in need of "Stuff"... like Prilosec!:biggrin_25512: And no where in sight to get a meal... LOL.

Hey Dabs if you havent found out yet your waiting on produce coming from Mexico. I know it sucks but you should be rolling by 1:30am, unless they decided to pull an inspection at the border but thats rare. They guys rollin in and out have loads with local produce. Next time u guys are there stop at the T/A first or if u need a Supermarket there is a small truckstop on the other side of the interstate across from the Days Inn. The market and small shopping center is next to Days Inn. The Days Inn has truck parking too. Also Owners are L/O or just O, I have seen a few with just a three digit number no letters.:biggrin_25525:

Thanks Vette! Nope... didn't know that... good to know. There are at least 3 of us who have been here since 2:00 pm or earlier... while the rest are coming and going. I've gotten caught up on some cleaning and organizing... paperwork... hubby catching up on the sleep... though he is out of the truck right now. Thanks for the info on the market and parking too for future use. Until you go to a place you never know what you're going to run into... and even then... it could have been a drop and hook.

How are you and Kathy doing? Say hi to Kathy for us. I'm glad you guys got some good time off... it goes quick though, doesn't it!?
