Is it legal for a company to send a semi on a trip with its landing gear broken? And U believe that it is bringing a load back that is hazardous.
Are you dropping the trailer? If you are, it will only be once But yes, it can leagally roll provided no part of the landing gear is damaged in a way it can come loose and fall off or strike another vehicle.
Check out the fuel haulers with NO landing gear, just a place for a set of supports when needed..... If one side is broken, you cut it [or both] off and order a set to install when the unit returns to the yard. As long as nothing can fall off and cause an accident... Landing gear isn't required for the safe operation of the tractor trailer.
Yes landing gear has nothing to do with safe operation of the truck or are you just a new driver #####ing bc they are making you actually drive and not spend all day at the chrome store
I had a trailer I was supposed to drop turn into a live unload/load due to jammed landing gear once. I didn't see a problem running down the road with it because it wasn't falling apart it just wouldn't come down. Didn't seem like a safety issue that would be a me problem, looked like a maintenance guy problem.
