It is with great sadness, yet eager anticipation I am anouncing that I am leaving TMC to run a Martial Arts School.

Out of the blue, a couple of weeks ago, I was approached by one of my former master instructors about taking over one of his schools. He is 68 and is far to busy to keep it going.

It is an established school with about 120 active students. The phone isn't answered during the day and there is little to no advertising. I see a lot of potential.

I am leaving TMC on good terms. If I have to, I can always come back. I'm not sure what my last day will be, I put in my two week notice today. I told them I wanted to work for the next two weeks and not to route me to a terminal until then. We'll see.

I'll continue to read and post on this and other forums until my trucking experience, what little there is, is outdated.

I wish everyone the best and TMC in particular.

It is sad to see you go. I am sure you have a good opportunity with the martial arts school, and with your attitude I am sure you will be very successful.

I'll bet it was a hard decision to make. Good luck.

    Good luck Terry,
You have been a great help.

Do you teach Tae-Kwon-Do? If so, is your school in the north end? I've got a stale purple belt here and might be in need of training in the future.

    Thanks again.

Best of luck to you! Sounds like a great opportunity. Thanks for your posts, they have been helpful, and for the attitude you've shown through them. I'm a couple of days away from getting my CDL and hope to be hired on by TMC as soon as I graduate from trucking school, and your input has been one factor in my choosing them.
