How often do you come across loads that are going to be delivered locally, like in a 250 mile radius? And if you do, how much do they pay?
Daily. And it depends on the equipment, the carrier pool, who I know, what they ask for, and the customer in question.
It all depends on who you know... fresh authority may be a little harder to get local stuff. For some reason an O/O with years of driving experience, but with 1 week of their own authority experience can't book a donut load.
We do all local 300mi out at most and home every night. Load of plastic pipe to Altoona 260mi from Binghamton ny 1250 plus 250fsc. 7000 LB van load 330 min nichols ny to ayres mass 1500$ Decking and trusses comes out to over 5 a mi including fsc. This is in north east pa

250 is not local..... I would need a team driver for that many miles, or an overnight bag..... My idea of local is 50 miles, 100 tops
