Log Questions?

    #1. The new HOS says that the 10 hr's of sleeper birth time can be split into 2 periods niether of which can be less than 2 hrs. So does that mean that it could be 6 hrs. and 4 hrs. for example?

    #2. Can one of the periods be 4 hrs. off duty and the other period used be 6 hrs. sleeper time. Note: I also think that I understand that, the sleeper time has to account for all of the 10 hrs. to be able to extend the 14 hr. rule. Is this correct?

    2 hrs and 8 hrs. it can be split between off and sleeper

    8 has to be continous in the sleeper, 2 can be any combination

    True, but I don't see how that is enforceable. Are the going to mandate infared sensors in the truck hardwired to you Qualcomm to verify you where there?

    I am getting ready to team with my son, am in school now at this time, can we split the log 5 and 5 with 5 driving 5 sleeper berth then 5 driving and 5 sleeper berth? I have discussed this with the instuctor and was told that it can be done this way but would like some input from drivers that are out there now. The compnay has paperless logging.
