I am new driver but it is not excuse i was in a hurry and messed up log book also forgot past 7 days off duty. I left yeard to pick up load and i was in a hurry stopped for the fuel and quickly filled log book untill fuel was pouring into the truck. So i F made mistake and i blame myself and may be i should blame company too because they never trained me in log books properly CDL school wont do it. So i received warning for not having 7 days off duty log and received $1000 fine for falsifying log book. Funny is that i had no reason to falsify and actually i never do it because it is simple follow rules. That day i was in hurry to get to dealership to pick up car so i was little in hurry. I drove only 100 miles from yeard when i was inspected by weigh station. My question is how it affects my driving record? I wanted to keep clean record and this stupid reason really killed my hope. Is there any chance to appeal? In fact i did not have any sleep time violation it was just human mistake in filling log book. I can prove that i was off 5 days before that and i drove only 100 before that inspection. Do you think it makes sense to go to court? It happened in MD
What is your question? It's your fault dude, if you don't know how to do something properly you need to ask someone. Ignorance is no excuse.
Not sure what you are going to fight? Was your logbook up to date as of your last duty change? No? Then you get a ticket. And how is this your companies fault or the fault of your school? Welcome to adulthood.
At the very least, know where to look to find the law and regulations on all your truck driving needs.
I am so angry on myself now. After graduating CDL school i started driving car carrier coast to coast route. I never had mistakes whichusually happens very often such as scratches, stuck in tight road etc and this small stupid reason killed me really
