Depends on the hose hookups the trailer has for filling as some have 3 and some 4 hook ups. Also some are from the side of the trailer, most of ours are, or at the back of the trailer, saw we have 1 of them. 1 hose hook up you do not use for filling as it is from pump for offloading. Some have 2 vapor lines (4 hose hookups) some only have 1 vapor (3 hose hookup). The last one is a liquid hookup. You want to use both vapor lines if you have them as it will keep the pressure down on the tank. If you only have 1 vapor you then also use the liquid line. You may want to cut back on the liquid valve to force more thru the vapor fill but you have to be careful as you can cause a back pressure on the fill system and shut your rack down. Same goes if you over pressure your tank, rack shut down and you are done. After you are loaded and your tank valve closed and the fill hose valves closed you have to bleed off the psi between the valves. When you do it does so at the top of the tank. That is what you see at the top. Once the fill starts it fills its self and not much we do for the next half hour or so other than keep eye on tank psi and be close in case something goes wrong to shut down. My rack only does LPG some we done have anyone to point & laugh at Dave ---- I have done 3 days of cement powder blowing it off. I can tell you I like LPG a lot more, it is cleaner and don't need to watch it every min. like blowing powder off.
Glenn may not be close enough to point at, but you can still laugh a little and tell the other drivers "man, I know this fuel hauler......"
Amen to that! LPG is also nice for me because besides being the cleanest job, I also don't deal with any shippers or receivers and I don't have any appointment times......I have a few friends that haul fuel, they think THEY got it made LOL...
Still plugging along. We're working gas wells now in eastern OK. I'm just hoping everything holds out til about mid december...and I think its going to. I'll be fat AND happy by then
Glad to hear it. It has really slowed down in the last week to ten days around here. Just waiting for the Holiday travel season to start, or better yet, a phone call...
