I keep a small box of MRE's in my car for emergencies. Anyone ever eat MRE's out on the road?

No, I had enough C Rats and MRE's to sustain me when I was in the service!:biggrin_25523:

I can honestly say I have and will do again...I don't think they are to bad.

Hubby doesn't mind them since he ate them for 8 years in the Marine Corps. lol:biggrin_25523:

The kind I have are from Saratoga Trading Company and they are about 1200 calories each - not the military version.

Then apparently you havent tasted the "Veggie Omelette". :biggrin_2559:

Seriously, eat those nasty things every day for two or three weeks and when you finally get "unplugged", you'll know why I cant stand em. C-Rats were great. MRE's are disgusting, and bind up your insides something FIERCE!

EEEEEEWWW!!! I havent seen or tasted the Clam Chowder yet. Clam Chowder is one of my favorite foods, I'm afraid I'd be horribly dissapointed. It would probably forever change my view of one of my favorite foods.
