I'd like to get a good multi-tool for work. Are there any that are especially good for commercial drivers?

I carry a SMALL assortment of tools. Enough to change a light bulb, fix a ungrounded wire and a few wrenches for misc loose nuts and bolts. Anything else is on the company..they pay me to drive not turn wrench.

That said, I keep 2 pair of locking pliers for when the tandem slide pull won't stay in the groove and a biggie hammer to knock in tandem locking pins after dousing them with Break Free.

Never leave home without my old Leatherman Supertool.

Gotten me out of several potentially bad situations on 4 wheels and 18.

I always keep my Leatherman with me. Granted, the Gerbers seem a little more slick with the slide-out pliers, but the Leatherman to me always seemed to be better built. I've had them in combat, I've had them on the road, in construction projects, and I still get some use out of it working in a shop... granted, it's no substitute for an actual tool set, but it can be handy in a pinch. I wouldn't prioritize getting one over actual, purpose built tools, but I certainly wouldn't discourage anybody from buying one.

Whatever you do, though, don't waste your money on the Road Pro junk. It was OK (not great but OK) back in the day but not any more. A little more for quality up front will save you a busted tool and ton of grief on the back.
