Just confirmed with the lady at BTI i have been talking to about getting into one of their trucks. The entry from TMC on my DAC gives employment dates, that's it. No personal information no 'terminated' nothing.. Thought i would let you all know, there was alot of people asking me what they put on there. I am so relieved! =))
I am not in the same situation as you, I quit seven months ago before all the layoffs. TMC put, absolutly, nothing on my DAC. It was like I never drove for them for the last 20 months.
Well, you should call human recourses and see what they have to say about it. The problem with TMC being as large as they are is that it's really hard to figure out exactly WHO you need to talk to about things such as this. Refer the company you are interested in of TMC's "Employment verification" on their website they have to put in your social security number for security purposes, but the information should be on there. From the horror stories i've heard on here i'd say your almost better off to have had nothing put on there then to have some type of slander! I don't think TMC operates that way, though.
It doesn't matter to me if there is anything on my DAC, the good stuff, or not. ATS was able to verify my employment. There shouldn't have been anything bad on there anyway. I'm happy nothing was put on yours eckz.
Just google USIS and you can get a free copy once a year. Just download the PDF file, fill it out and mail to the address they give you. It will take about 2 weeks to obtain the report. Don't call the number listed because it will refer you to the website.
If you are friends with a recruiter from another company, you can also have them obtain it for you, which is sorta what i did.
