Hi.. My husband got his cdl in October 2016 through the company he worked for... He is an amazing worker never called in sick or showed up late, working 6 days a week in wonderful up state NY.. Oh FYI they had him put on nights as soon as he was licensed.. In January on one of the nights we didn't have ice or snow on ROADS... He got into a scary crazy accident.. He stated to state police that he believed it was a mechanical issue he felt a pull it jerked him he went to correct over compensated went up embankment and back down on to road... Nevertheless he was not asleep.. I say this because if he had he would have damaged guardrail significantly (driving into a curve on the highway in the spot he crashed) he thankfully didn't go in other direction which was steep drop off with water... His dispatcher came took him straight to drug test... He was not issued tickets he did not fail drug test... He even gave permission to get phone records... Obviously speed and all is logged electronically... His co workers fought hard for him but company canned him before they even got dot report back on truck..I will try to attach pic of accident... Basically photos show axles snapped completely totaled diesel and oil on ground major bill.. ####ty man just completely ducked... He is am amazing dad and husband and one hell of an employee just had a ducked up night... Thank God he derbies for a hobby because he literally walked away from death... With minor injuries... Thank God. Just feel stuck he is our bread winner depression has taken over and I just want him back... He has said hed take the crappy undesirable Jobs he just can't seem to find anyone who will take him on.... He even is willing to go over the road and litteraly be gone until he had enough time under his belt... How and who will take him.. I just want him to be okay again the pressure to make enough money to live is killing him... I just don't know where to go for some advice...

There's some companies that will hire him. Best to do the online applications, then follow up with a phone call; "I'm checking on my job application." Ignore what the websites have about accidents and apply anyway. Eastern Freightways USA Truck TransAm Covenant Transport Navajo Express Western Express Paschall Truck Lines Also try Craigslist; plenty of small companies on there that cut some slack. It's important to do the online applications before a phone call.

Not sure how far upstate you are, but look up RIST trucking(dry van) ARG trucking (fuel hauler) or Howard's Express(LTL). Mostly see them around Albany, NY, but they're locally owned (Phelps, NY) and take people who "had a bad day once". I know this from personal experience.
