Looking to see if anyone has any available time... that is willing to teach me how to drive like an instructor. Near Canton, Ohio.

teach you to drive like an instructor? Or do you mean to instruct you to drive and get a CDL?
It depends on what you plan to do with your license. If you plan to go OTR, all the major (an many minor) companies require you're having attended a school and have 160+ hours of instruction. That requirement is driven by the insurance companies.
If you plan to go local, find a local company that might have an operator willing to train you.
    Good luck.

I live in Ohio and currently there is no law, (at least here) that requires you to attend a school, or have any minimum amount of training. If you check the dmv website it clearly states that.

I need to drive like you would teach anyone how to drive. Depends on if that person was an instructor he would know what to show me. If not an instructor i would go about learning on my own which manuvers i need to learn to pass the pre-trip & road tests. Just saying i need a guy with a truck.. Know anyone, here near me, Canton/Akron/Massillion/Louisville 20 mile radius? Thanks, Road Master.

I don't think any state requires to attend truck school. You can just show up at DMV with a CMV and permit and a CDL holder and take your tests. You pass, you get a CDL. Amazing, isn't it ?

Think if your going to try it this way get your CDL permit first which is just a test like a normal permit but much more difficult. Then from there I would try looking for O/O's and contact them asking if they would be willing to let you ride along and teach you the ropes. This could be beneficial to them if you are able to in they could possibly get more miles run making more money. Not sure how many will do it though probably not that many but you may luck out.

From most of my reading the people who go the get your cdl without schooling end up having issues after they get it in finding a job.

We have two people in our school with Class A CDL's. They here here because as Emulsfied said the companies won't hire you without a certainnumber of hours in school. It is all due to insurance requirements.
