I'm going to orientation Mon and was wondering what to take. Do the trucks have APU or an inverter? I was OTR in 1986 and I'm sure things have changed a bit. I'll be doing it in Dallas. I was wondering if I can use a laptop and refridge on the truck
So you have'nt drove otr since 1986?I assume you'll be going out with a trainer? If so trainer has limited space so just take the necessitites.Like a weeks worth of clothes, blanket pillow, toiletries. You can buy a bag with all the toiletries in it at walmart. If you'll be getting your own trk I would still bring only the necessities. You can ask your dispatcher to route you home on your first load to get all your other stuff.
Nah, I've been in the oilfield driving for 5 yrs so I just go to orientation then I will get dispatched out. I was just wondering about the inverter or APU, cause I have a laptop and would like to get a fridge
So, after your done training, you can always go to the truck stop and buy an inverter. Then you can go into the walmart and buy a fridge. Take some good notes, because you'll need em. OTR isn't what it used to be.
The prostars come with a 1200 watt inverter can't tell you about the cascadias.I never had one my century didn't have one .
You will only get a trainer if your going to a dedicated account and the training will be about the account not driving .
